EasyFTP Server Settings


Here is a short help file on how to set up to connect to a remote server

Section 1: Opening the Connect Dialog

EasyFTP starts it's session by asking you questions about where you want to connect. It will then connect to the site for you. Below you will find information on setting this up

  1. Section 1.1: Connecting to a site

    In order to connect to a site you must first get the connect to dialog box open. To do this either click on the lightning bolt on the toolbar or click file/connect on the menu bar. Once you have done that follow the instructions below:

    1. EasyFTP Connect Settings

      In Order

      1. Host: This is the IP address or fully qualified domain name of the FTP server you want to connect to.
      2. Anonymous: This sets the username and password to anonymous if you do not have a valid account on the FTP server you want to connect to
      3. Username: This is the name that you were given by your ISP or Administrator
      4. Password: This is that password that you use to get into the system with the username above.

Please note that during file transfer the entire program is not accessable due to the one way traffic that the current control allows me to use. If users would like to have two way traffic they should register the program so i may be able to afford the nessasary tools to complete this program.
